THE STORY
THE LAST ANCHOR is a fast-paced, climate action thriller set in a future Ireland in a TV news station on the eve of the deadliest storm that Ireland has ever seen. And on this night, we follow the story of LIZ, an ambitious news reporter, as she takes on the major task of single-handedly manning the news desk while also trying to talk her parents to safety over the phone.
THE LAST ANCHOR is written by award-winning actress Johanna O'Brien and is set to begin production this summer. Johanna's debut short film was selected as one of the winners of the Actor as Creator Scheme and she is currently seeking additional funding to bring the film to completion.
