The Larry Edgar Memorial Fund

On January 10, 2023 our life changed. We lost a Best Friend, Community Advocate, Boxing Coach, Grand Father, Father and Husband.

My father-in-law lived life to the fullest. The impact he had in our community shined through as our family received an out-pour of prayers, love and support.

Larry Edgar, Coach, spent his time living, breathing and dedicating his life to the sport of boxing. It wasn't just a hobby, it was his dream! Coach shared this love, passion, dream... with his first love, his wife, Leann. Coach didn't just build confidence, discipline, or champions in the ring, in his heart he built long lasting friendships based on trust, honesty and tough love. He considered all his pupils family and loved and respected each individual for their strength to overcome their own personal hardships and become a well rounded disciplined fighter.

Coach was not done yet, he had just begun, but unfortunately the Lord called him home.

Life has been difficult for our family, especially Leann. If you know Larry, Coach, you know Leann has been faithfully and loyally by his side, every step of the way, through everything!

My name is Cindy, I'm Rocky's wife. Larry and Leann are Rocky's parents, my in-laws. Our family is still in grieving. We miss "daddy-o" every day and we know Leann misses, the love of her life, terribly, every single second of the day.

This is the reason I am writing you this request. Larry and Leann dedicated a lot of their time, effort and funds to help keep and teach kids, amateurs, the art of boxing. It was Larry's dream to build champions.

Leann has chosen to keep Larry's dream alive.

This was the most difficult decision Leann has ever made. The reminders are hard to bare sometimes knowing his time was limited. Rocky and I are in full support, but we need help. We are starting from scratch and why we are asking for monetary donations. We have created The Larry Edgar Memorial Fund to begin work immediately to create a boxing gym to train amateur students and help Leann maintain some of the costs. Any donation big or small would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to donate equipment or would like to offer a sponsorship please reach out to us.
