The Lacy Project by Girl Dirty!

Girl Dirty Theatre Company was created by Madison Doyle, Sara Moinuddin, and Kalina Walaski.

Hi there!

The three of us are recent alumni from Pace University in their International Performance Ensemble (BA Acting) and currently reside in Bed-Stuy. We are raising money to put on our first full play outside of college, The Lacy Project.

Money raised will be used towards rights, venue, and overall production costs.

A short description of the play:

Her mother's photographs turned Lacy into an icon of childhood innocence and beauty. Now, on the night of her 22nd birthday, Lacy has to navigate between image and reality, sex and friendship, self-indulgence and responsibility. This wild tragicomedy presents a portrait of a young woman held captive by her own childhood, and a vivid picture of a generation unable to grow.

The name Girl Dirty describes an aesthetic that lives in girlhood and is a place we all live in and create art from. Think lipstick stains, the smell of hairspray mixed with smoke, and hair stuck to your shower walls. That's girl dirty.
