Hi my name is Kelly, I am one of Michelle’s best friends and have been authorized by Michelle and her family to run this fundraiser on November 18th around 630 pm Michelle’s neices we’re having a slumber party for her niece’s birthday with several girls including my own 2 Michelle had went to Bakersfield with the boys and a terrible accident with the wood stove caught the living room on fire the teens tried to put the fire out but it spread quickly one of the girls ran next door and grabbed my husband but by the time he entered the house the entire living room was engulfed, the neighbors had already called 911 all the kids were out of the house and both the dogs, all we could do is helplessly watch the house burn by the time the fire was out the entire living room , kitchen and dining room were a total loss all three bedrooms and the front den are heavily smoke damaged and water damaged all furniture clothing beds and pretty much everything in the house will have to be replaced as well as a rebuild of a good portion of the house many of you know Michelle a single grandmother lost her daughter mother to the boys back in June to a heart attack so she’s left raising the boys, her home was hand built by her father when she was a young child it was one of the first houses up here on Rembach, her and her brother fire captain mike Moore were raised in this home as well as Michelle’s children and grandchildren, a lot of you know fire insurance companies up here have been dropping people just 3 days before the fire insurance dropped her we have been calling everywhere to find insurance she could afford when this freak accident happened, Michelle and her family are long time residents of the valley michelle works doing in home care for a disabled vet and her grandsons Eli and Kai attended Wallace elementary, both boys played baseball for Kern river little league and Eli played for Kern Valley youth football, the money we’re asking for may seem like a lot especially for this time of year but this family deserves the love I know this valley is capable of giving, they have suffered unbelievable loss this last five months with the death of cherish Moore Michelle’s daughter and Kai and Eli’s mom please help them recover and rebuild from this fire we are also going to be looking for donations of building materials, people to help gut the house and remove damaged items and people willing to donate there time helping with the rebuild please talk to your churches and pass the word along you can contact me att 4428669881 immediate needs will be clothing for Michelle and the boys we appreciate your help and let’s show this family the meaning of #KernValleyStrong
