We are deeply saddened to inform you that our beloved daughter, Kyra Richardson 23, was killed by a drunk driver Saturday, 07th of May 2022. Kyra was preparing for her last year of college. We are absolutely devastated by the news and are struggling to come to terms with the shock of losing her. Kyra was a loving daughter, granddaughter and friend. She was a wonderful sister and known among family and friends for her passion and willingness to help others in need.

 

Kyra has been helping others since high school. She started working as a counselor for the boys and girls club and in college she worked for BAYWAR, a womens rape crisis center. She was employed for the past two years working as administrative support at a senior care facility.

 

 

In honor of her passion for assisting others, we are establishing the Kyra Richardson Memorial Scholarship Fund to give underserved minority students an opportunity to complete college.

 

Although life will never be the same for Richardson family and friends, in her absence, we hope that this GoFundMe will help reduce some of the financial distress that underserved students and their families are likely to face.
