The Kuncio family is facing a level of heartache no family should ever have to endure, and they need our help now more than ever.

Sarah is a loving and caring mother and a dedicated trainee paramedic with NSW Ambulance. She’s always the first to help others in their time of need, working tirelessly and going above and beyond for her patients.

Mat, a devoted husband and father, works relentlessly to support those around him, always willing to lend a hand and offer help to anyone in need. Together, Sarah and Mat embody kindness and selflessness, always putting others before themselves.

Sadly, the Kuncio family has been enduring an incredibly difficult time. Many of you know their daughter, Lexi, has faced ongoing health challenges, leading to multiple hospitalizations. Mat and Sarah have exhausted all their sick, carers, and annual leave to care for their precious daughter, even spending Christmas by her side in the hospital.

On Thursday, while at work, Sarah heartbreakingly went into premature labor. Their son Chase was born at 2:12 am on Friday, February 14th, just 17 weeks and 5 days old, growing his angel wings far too soon.

The grief and pain of losing a child is unimaginable. In addition to this profound loss, Sarah and Mat are now facing the overwhelming reality of healing from such a deep tragedy. No parent should ever have to worry about finances while grieving the loss of a child.

They are both deserving of the time to recover physically, emotionally, and mentally from such an overwhelming loss without the added stress of financial strain.
