The Story of Kocktail Kakes & Co.™: A Social Impact Initiative
Target: $75,000 for the Ward 5 Flagship & Workforce Hub.
Focus: Economic Empowerment, Culinary Arts, and Vocational Mentorship.
Social Mission: Providing professional development for underserved women and survivors.
The Vision: Scalable Inclusivity
My name is Nikia, a D.C.-based entrepreneur and founder of Kocktail Kakes & Co.™. I am disrupting the luxury dessert market by bridging the gap between high-end pastry and total inclusivity. Our "Krown Vibe" collection features premium, handcrafted mini Bundt cakes that are 100% plant-based, allergy-friendly, and non-alcoholic. We have proven that allergy-friendly isn't just a niche—it’s a rapidly growing market.
Proven Traction & Media Recognition
Since our inception, we have scaled from a private kitchen to a "Made in DC" certified brand with a high-volume wholesale model. Our journey has been featured on WUSA9 and Good Morning Washington, and we have established successful partnerships with luxury residential developments and high-end corporate brands throughout the District.
The Project: The Ward 5 Workforce Hub
We are now entering a capital campaign to establish our permanent flagship storefront in Ward 5. This location will serve as the headquarters for our "Growing Smarter" Workforce Hub. In strategic partnership with the nonprofit "Livin the Pink Life," this facility will act as a catalyst for:
Culinary Arts Training: Developing technical skills for underserved women to enter the professional hospitality industry.
Economic Empowerment: Providing Business Mentorship based on our "Smarter, Not Harder" growth philosophy.
Social Equity: Creating a safe, community-centric destination that prioritizes local hiring and survivor support.
Strategic Use of Capital
We are committed to a debt-free growth model to ensure long-term operational sustainability. Your investment will be allocated toward:
Industrial Infrastructure: Commercial-grade ovens, refrigeration, and high-capacity mixers for wholesale scaling.
Facility Development: A "Pink and Black" branded retail experience designed to anchor Ward 5’s economic corridor.
Human Capital: Funding our first training cohort to begin the mission of vocational empowerment.
Invest in a D.C. Legacy
By contributing to this campaign, you are not simply making a donation; you are supporting a social enterprise dedicated to equity, mentorship, and excellence. We are seeking Angel Investors and community partners who believe that D.C.-born businesses can—and should—lead the way in social impact.
Help us bake a legacy of empowerment into the heart of the District!
