Hello, I'm Jesse, the organizer behind the Know Hope community. Right now, families across the country are facing a crisis: the government shutdown has severely impacted food assistance programs like SNAP, leaving many struggling to put food on the table, let alone prepare a warm holiday meal.

We created the Know Hope Holiday Food Drive to stand in the gap. We are a community-led effort raising money directly to purchase grocery gift cards for the families most affected by this emergency food insecurity.

Your donation provides immediate, dignified relief by allowing a parent to walk into their local grocery store and buy exactly what their family needs for their holiday table.

Our Mission and How the Funds Are Used

Every dollar you donate goes directly into grocery support for a family in need.

The Problem: The government shutdown has left many federal workers, contractors, and families dependent on SNAP with a sudden and massive shortfall in their food budget, right as the holidays approach.

The Solution: We are converting every dollar raised into digital and physical gift cards for major grocery retailers (like Kroger, Walmart, etc.). This preserves the recipients' dignity and choice.

The Impact: $50 can buy essential groceries, $150 can cover the bulk of a holiday meal, and $250 can replace a significant portion of a family's lost monthly food assistance.

Direct Distribution: This fundraiser is organized by Jesse (Know Hope Community) for the sole purpose of providing grocery assistance to vetted community members.

Vetting Process: We use an established vetting process to verify the specific needs of recipient families impacted by the shutdown. Funds are disbursed based on individual need.

No Tax Deduction: IMPORTANT: Because this is a personal community fundraiser and not a registered 501(c)(3) charity, your donation is considered a personal gift and is NOT tax-deductible under IRS rules.
