The Kit-Tea Café's Veterinary Fees

Hello,

We are Falkirk's first and only cat café.

We are a non-profit organisation and a community interest company, which means any money the café makes can only be used for the cats' upkeep, enrichment and comfort alongside the running of the actual café itself.

As you can imagine, with 15 resident cats alongside helping vulnerable cats within our local and wider community, the vet bills are continuous to help keep our babies healthy and to meet their medical needs.

A message from our owner, Becky:

"When I started this project, I thought, and I was told, that I would be able to access funding as we are rehoming cats, raising awareness of feline welfare issues in Scotland, and we also have the added extra of the café being centred around boosting mental health. Cats quite literally have healing properties, and they can massively help with anxiety, mental health and many other debilitating disorders.

I didn't get the funding, so I'm funding this myself, and it's tricky, due to being a mummy with a family myself, teamed with the cost of living crisis...we need all the help we can get in order to get this off the ground and keep it running.

Anything anyone can help with, from resources, or a tiler or plasterer, I'll be eternally grateful.
