The Kirby's need our support

I'm writing this on behalf of my mother, Stacy Kirby, and my father, Bob Kirby. Im asking our family and friends to help me raise funds to cover the cost of Stacy's medical bills for her current surgeries and future. Most of you know the Kirby's as the fun, charismatic, adventurous, caring, hardworking and loving grandparents. You may know them from younger days, work, Friendships or family. Regardless of how you know them, we all connect with them because of their vivacious spirit and compassion. Today, I call on all of you. They need our support.

On Tuesday, October 4th, my mother took a terrible fall off a ladder while she was moving a bale of hay. She was taken by ambulance to her local hospital where an X-ray showed four breaks, with her tibia breaking away from her knee joint and fractures around her kneecap.  She was transported to Desert Regional hospital where the Physicians Assistant told us that there is also a crack laterally down her tibia with a wide "looks like a blown out section" extending from the crack toward the lower part of the tibia. She underwent her first surgery to stabilize the leg on Wednesday. On Friday at 9am she went in for another surgery to begin repairing the fractures to her leg. We are being told that this may require multiple surgeries and will definitely be a long healing process.

My mom does not have a good health insurance program. Years ago she chose a basic and affordable plan that has extremely low coverage, with a very high deductible. As most of you know, in September of 2019, my mom suffered a tremendous brain injury when she was kicked in the face by one of our horses. She was air flighted and suffered a fractured skull which required surgery to install plates. Those medical bills and the stress of new medical bills, due to this accident, have taken their toll on my parents. The two strongest people I know, my mother and my father, look defeated and scared. The stress of medical bills, rehabilitation, physical therapy costs, and continuing to take care of the ranch on a day to day basis, has broken both of them. They need our help. 

Bob and Stacy Kirby are two people who are always there for everyone. They will be the first to offer a helping hand, whether it be physically or mentally. They would literally give the shirt off their back to help anyone in need. Please help me, help them.

I am raising funds to help cover the cost of medical bills for the two surgeries she has already had, future surgeries, physical therapy costs, and future medical bills due to this injury.

When my mom comes home it will be a long road to recovery. Bob, who has health issues of his own, will be taking on all ranch duties and taking care of Stacy. If we can help relieve some of that burden, financially, I know that they will forever be grateful.
