Hello, my name is Amy Castillo.

I am asking for help for a sweet family that is about to lose their home.

Marie is 54. She and her husband have two teenage kids. Two weeks ago she was taken by ambulance to the hospital. The doctors did an MRI and found a massive tumor in her brain, which was removed immediately. This saved her life. It also explained a lot of why she had been struggling so much.

Prior to this tragedy, they had been facing financial hardship due to the loss of her husband's job during covid. While he was able to return to work, his salary was greatly reduced, at this time only 25% of what he made previously.

She now has new hope and will be able to help better provide for her family. In addition to being life threatening, the tumor had caused a myriad of issues and symptoms that made it challenging for her to function. It will now take a lot of work and rehab (she is still at the rehab center) to get there but she is ready. The doctor said she won't be able to work for a year.

The money raised will go towards the mortgage as forclosure proceedings will begin starting February 1 and for out of pocket costs for the surgery, they have a really high deductible, and followup care.
