Alcohol, drugs and filth all do their best to ruin the plans of two burnout losers. Friendship and the desire to change one's circumstances drive the pair in their frantic hunt for their car keys. Will this drunken pair find the keys to their new life?
Who are we?
We're a group of six passionate, Western Australian, filmmakers from Curtin University majoring in Screen Arts.
We are currently fundraising for our final year Major Production short film, 'The Keys'.
We have been blessed with a hilarious script by the wonderful writer, Joe Gerus, which our crew is itching to get their hands into.
We are also incredibly fortunate to have three accomplished actors on board with our project, directed by the talented Sarah Simmons.
Synopsis:
'The Keys' follows Tom; a well-meaning, party-goer who has overslept at the worst time possible. With a plane to catch and very little time to spare, a hung-over Tom and his friend Dewey navigate the fallout of the previous night's partying while looking for the keys to Tom's car. With Tom's car being the only way out, quips, jabs and insults are the language of choice for the pair as they both seem determined to piss each other off. Will this dazed and confused pair successfully find the keys to their new life?
Where will the funds go?
The funds raised will go towards:
- Locations (Hiring fees)
- Equipment (Lenses, lighting gear, etc)
- Art Department (Props, set dressing, costumes)
- Marketing Costs (Poster art, BTS Stills)
- Festival Entry Fees
- Catering for Cast & Crew

As a production unit, our team has been working extremely hard on putting this film together and we are very excited to see it come to life. As filmmakers we have each grown, individually and together, to find our skills and talents and unite them with a common goal - creating a character-driven, feel-good comedic film.
