Hello to Ketti's family and friends.
We are raising funds to support the Escalera Family in their time of need after the passing of Ketti O'Neill Escalera on December 22, 2022. The family expressed their wishes to have a private celebration of life in honor of Ketti. In lieu of a funeral service or flowers, we hope to create this donation platform to honor Ketti's memory and help cover costs and expenses for her loved ones. We hope this small gesture will be a token of our gratitude and love for Ketti and her family. For those who have not seen Ketti O'Neill Escalera's website, below is her obituary:
After her courageous battle with breast cancer, Ketti Lynn O’Neill Escalera, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, family member, and friend passed away on the morning of December 22, 2022. Born to Cheryl and Sonny Phillips on April 14th, 1969, Ketti was one of several siblings, including Cody Phillips, April Maher, Tracy Milton, Don Phillips, Rick Phillips, Debbie Kreku, and Tammy Modisette. She is survived by her loving husband, Mario Escalera, and her five beautiful children, Kristina Latimer, Karli Hurless, Jonathan O’Neill, Cheyenne Escalera, and Sierra Escalera.
Ketti was best known for her contagious smile, immense compassion, and generous spirit. She loved nothing more than to cheer on her children and grandchildren in all their sporting events, particularly her daughters, Sierra and Cheyenne, in softball. Throughout the years, Ketti enjoyed several outdoor hobbies and activities, including four-wheeling, crabbing, hunting, and going out on the water. She also loved camping trips and attending annual family reunions, where she cooked meals for everyone with her husband, Mario, any chance she could. When she was not watching her loved ones engage in playful banter across a campfire, Ketti could be found around a card table, laughing whole-heartedly with a rum and coke in hand. She had a close bond with her siblings, particularly her sisters, spending time going on birthday trips and attending country music concerts together over the years.
Ketti was a fiercely strong-willed, kindhearted, and wonderful soul full of warmth. Her greatest joy was being a proud mother and grandmother, with her family being the light of her life. Ketti never ceased to demonstrate a tremendous amount of strength, persistence, and adoration for all of those around her, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
