We at LAMA Entertainment are proud to announce the official campaign for our new film, The Keeper – Coming Home—continuing our vital mission to save lives through storytelling following our original feature, The Keeper.

When George returns home, his fragile peace is shattered by his wife Rhonda’s advanced cancer diagnosis. Thrust into a grueling double-front war against a terminal illness, a cold bureaucratic system, and his own battle for sobriety, George retreats into military survival mode. Driven to the absolute edge by grief, George must overcome the darkness once again and find the strength to keep going—or risk losing the family standing right in front of him.

Why This Story Must Be Told
Veterans make up less than 7% of the U.S. adult population, yet represent nearly 14% of all adult suicide deaths. The crisis doesn't end when a service member comes home, and neither should the conversation.

Two years ago, we brought Army veteran George Eshleman’s true story to the screen as he carried the tags of 363 veterans whose lives had been lost to suicide across the Appalachian Trail—all while fighting his own silent battle with PTSD. Following its release, we were flooded with messages showing how the film worked on three distinct levels: opening eyes to an invisible reality, addressing a subject long shrouded in silence, and offering real healing to veterans, military spouses, and families walking beside them.

The Next Chapter
While this film is the continuation of George’s true story, it reflects a deeply universal reality for millions of service members and families: surviving the initial crisis is only the beginning. The silent weight of civilian life—trauma, moral injury, and rebuilding—doesn't vanish overnight.

Where We Are & How You Can Help
Writer/director Angus Benfield is returning to direct and portray George once again. Production is officially underway behind the scenes—we are currently casting principal roles, scouting locations across Tulsa, and finalizing pre-production details ahead of our January 2027 filming start date.

As an independent film company, getting support and funding for the first film was a massive uphill struggle, but the military community taught us resilience. Your donations directly fund the real costs of independent filmmaking: pre-production, cast and crew, production, and post-production. Every contribution directly empowers LAMA Entertainment to move this project forward and reach the audiences who need this story of hope and healing most.

Ways to Support:
Donate Directly: Every dollar on this campaign goes straight into bringing this message of hope to life.

Tax-Deductible Giving: For larger contributions, we offer 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsorship. Please reach out for details.

Share: Help us spread this campaign to veterans, families, and supporters across your network. @thekeeper.movie The Keeper Movie

Thank you for walking this road with us, and for helping us remind our veterans, families, and anyone fighting a silent battle that they never have to walk alone.

With deep gratitude,

The Team at LAMA Entertainment
