Wow, who ever thought we'd be here, right? Almost 13 months ago, Daryl was let go from his job 4 days after Sam's birthday. Major bummer, right? Luckily, they had a little bit of Bitcoin they had been saving to hopefully one day buy a house. The American Dream! However, with 4 kids, life is pretty expensive, and when your wife works at a 501c(3) local community theatre, there's not a ton of extra income coming in. Is it her passion and her love? Yes. Does she have a 4-year degree? No, so the odds of her makin' the bacon are not great. Daryl got on the grind, applying to up to 20 jobs a day. For months. And months. Until huzzah! In January, he was hired at a company... for a $50k pay cut. But that's okay, right? Because Sam and Daryl still had that little bit of Bitcoin slowly bleeding out and helping them. Until the Bitcoin was gone. And the family cat needed $1200 of medical care. And the family car needed $4k of repairs. And then, on a cold morning in October, Daryl was let go. Again. The reasoning is dubious at best, but that doesn't negate the fact that now there is almost $0 coming in (Sam still makes a little at the theater) and with no savings, you see the tight spot they are in. While Daryl frowns upon asking for help, Sam is just witty enough to hope that this paragraph will entice someone, anyone to help us cover our bills. Christmas is already cancelled, birthdays fall shortly after, so those will be put on hold as well until we can get financials in a better spot.
There's rent, utilities, karate, hockey, and food to all pay for. Any help is greatly appreciated from anyone and everyone. Trust that we wouldn't be here if we didn't have to be. So thank you.
