The Karwoski Olsons Need Our Help!
It's hard to imagine a family getting knocked down over and over the way the Karwoski Olsons have in the last nine months. Incredibly, they just keep getting back up. But now they need our help.
Last summer Pam, who many of you know as Tink, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Fortunately it was caught early and after surgery and radiation (and tremendous expense despite having health insurance) she is cancer-free. A few months later, Tink's husband Kevin was diagnosed with stage IV gastric cancer. He has endured through many grueling rounds of chemo, working every day to keep the family's struggling small business afloat despite the challenges of his treatment.
Last month they were told that the chemo is not working. Kevin is in the fight of his life. Tink had stepped in to take over day-to-day operations and keep their business going but now because of the pandemic they've been forced to shut down completely. They have no income right now. Despite (very costly) health insurance, $250 procedure copays, appointment copays and medication costs on top of the expenses of day-to-day living have dwindled the family's savings down to nothing. As if that weren't enough, the family had to say goodbye to their beloved pup Cooper last month.
As many of you know, some from personal experience, Tink is a giver who has always been there with a note of encouragement, a thoughtful gift, and many donations for people and animals in need of help. Let's step up and return the favor for the Olsons in their time of need. Every little bit helps. We know these are difficult financial times for so many, but small donations will add up. And please, please share as often and as widely as possible. Thank you so much.
