Hi, my name is Jill and I am starting this fundraiser to help my friend Jennifer Kalapis and her family Tom and Nathan Coon after a devastating house fire on November 1st, 2023. On Wednesday afternoon, Nathan was at home when he noticed smoke coming from the living room. Nathan bravely crawled through the smoke to the basement to wake up his grandfather who was sleeping, before making it outside to call 911. The fire and smoke caused tremendous damage to the house and all the families belongings.

In a matter of minutes, their lives changed and they have been forced to leave their home with only the clothes on their backs. Jen, Tom and Nate are currently living in a hotel for at least the next 4 weeks awaiting an update on the extent of the damages. They have to attempt to rebuild their lives while staying in a hotel.

Jen has the biggest heart and is always the first person to help anyone in need without ever asking for help herself, such as when she battled breast cancer a few years ago. We are very thankful everyone is safe but they have a very long road ahead of them including an immense financial burden while rebuilding their lives. Please help take some of the burden off their shoulders and donate if able. This will help with clothing, food, housing costs and any unforeseen bumps that may come their way.
