On Wednesday, November 30th, in the early hours of the morning, Jed Jurchenko passed away unexpectedly from natural causes. He was a loved son, friend, father, and husband. He was a devoted friend who made time for everyone and positively impacted those he came in contact with. His wife, Jen, and their four daughters are left to navigate a new life without him.

Jed grew up in California and took advantage of the natural beauty of California through running, hiking, and paddleboarding. He attended seminary school and received his Master of Divinity Degree. He eventually met the love of his life, Jennifer Mork, and the two were married on a blustery December in 2012 in Minnesota. You know it was true love when he was willing to leave sunny California to move back to Jen's home state of Minnesota. Jen and Jed had a love that many people would envy, a love that many people dream of. Jen and Jed felt passionate about service and giving back to their community. They opened their loving home to several foster children while raising four daughters of their own.

Nothing gave Jed greater joy than spending time with his daughters: Mackenzie, Brooklyn, Addison, and Emmalynn. He led by example and showed his children how to have a strong relationship with Jesus and serve others. He loved running with his girls, playing games, and family movie nights. He leaves his children with an amazing legacy of love.

Jed worked as a therapist and author. He enjoyed connecting with others through morning bible study, coffee with friends, and sharing his passions through conferences and writing. He impacted many people in the community of Alexandria and beyond.

He was taken from his family too soon, leaving a huge hole that cannot be filled. We hope to support Jen and the girls during this time as they face the unimaginable. All donations will go directly to the family to pay for funeral expenses and daily living expenses as they adjust to their new reality.
