The journey to baby Crockett
Hey everyone, we’re Shaye and Jacob Crockett and we are asking for your support to grow our family through IVF.
Our love story started 7 years ago when we met at the lake. I was young and so was he but we immediately knew we were the ones for each other. We got married in 2017 after Jacob got out of Marine Corps boot camp. We then started our new journey in Twentynine Palms California where he got stationed and man were we excited.
Since the beginning Jacob and I always knew we wanted kids and after we got married we decided why not now. We tried for a year with no luck so I decided to go to my doctor for help. I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility and was put on clomid.
Jacob deployed and when he got back in the fall of 2019 I was ready to start my first dose of clomid. To our surprise it worked the first cycle! We were over joyed and so thankful, but a few weeks later we sadly had a misscariage. We were heartbroken but continued on, I went through many many, more rounds of fertility treatments over the last two years, we have experienced 3 misscariages and 1 ectopic pregnancy which resulted in me losing my right Fallopian tube.
This has been such a tough journey but we are not ready to give up. Because of all of this my doctor has recommended that IVF will be our best option and he was very hopeful that it would work for us. With IVF comes, a lot of money and our insurance covers 0% of our treatments. Asking for help is not easy. The cost feels too big, impossible at times; but we are here trying to push past our pride and fight for a family we want more than anything.
Any support given will go towards IVF egg retrieval/transfer, anesthesia during procedures, medical injections, and genetic testing of embryos. The cost is all due up front and the goal is to start at the beginning of 2022.
To help pay for our treatment, we have decided to put together a "Puzzle Fundraiser." For anyone who donates to our treatments, we will write their name on the piece of a puzzle that will eventually be hung in our nursery as a reminder of all those who have helped us build our family.
We are SO THANKFUL for you. We could not do this without you. Even if you are not in a place to help support us financially, sharing our story would mean the world to us.
Love to you all,
Shaye and Jacob
