The current state of the grounds doesn't accurately represent the pride that the students, faculty, and staff have in TJS. We would like to turn that around so that what people see on the outside, is a reflection of how much the parents and families of TJS care about what goes on at TJS.
The playground can have so many lessons in life like taking turns. Improving a child's social development is providing the opportunity for them to practice patience and sharing. These are skills they can develop through playground activities.
Also, being able to have a successful dialogue with other kids is an essential factor in becoming socially capable. On the playground, children can practice skills like greeting, initiating conversation, listening and waiting their turn to talk. Specific playground features can foster dialogue by inspiring kids to imagine scenarios and act them out with one another.
Another way is to practice respecting the space of others while playing on a climbing dome. Playground settings are an excellent place for children to practice working together.
The creation of a playground in a local community/school in early childhood becomes the supportive, positive, uplifting foundation of a child's life. It helps them to learn about themselves. It helps them learn how to tackle challenges, build knowledge, and thrive.
A playground is a priceless investment in the well-being of the inner-city community's children. Updating our grounds gives us a better space to host local community picnics. Back-to-school picnics, fundraisers, end-of-the-year picnics, and sport engagement.
Did you know that surfacing is important, Safety, surrounding environment, age appropriateness, variety of equipment, and amenities? Investing in more playground equipment encourages each student to engage in physical activity during recess. Play areas help kids build their gross motor skills, but they also benefit students' overall physical health.
We appreciate you taking the time to read our story and help in any way you can. Please share and spread the word, and/or donate.
