Hey there,

So I wanted to take the time to express something important. 

My name is Trayvaughn (pronouns: she/her) and I’m a professional dancer/performer based in the UK and I’m a black trans girl. Ever since the Supreme Court ruling, I’ve been looking at the world more intensely and with recent harassments that has been aimed at me, legal name changes, adapting to new surroundings and gaining friends and family that embrace my entire being, it took me long enough to make one of these but hey there’s no pain in trying so……

Ever since I was small living back and forth in the Turks and Caicos and The Bahamas , I have always envisioned this girl, dark skin with slick-back ponytail in a white singlet and baggy khakis, taking a picture of herself in mirror a capturing all her beauty in one frame. I didn’t know who this girl was, but I knew she was part of me, well she is me. She was alive in my dreams, she was the alter ego I had from primary school and early high school, and she’s loud like a pop star, and she is me and she’s now louder more than ever. It’s time to be the girl of my dreams.
