The Jordan Naterer Postcard Fundraiser

Hi! I am Veronica Naterer. I am raising funds to put towards the Jordan Naterer Scholarship at Memorial University. I am currently studying abroad so each person who donates, I will send a postcard to from my travels :)

The book Called by Mother Earth is currently being sold as well for proceeds towards this scholarship, but as we wait for those funds to arrive, MUN needs to pick the next winner!

ABOUT:

This scholarship, valued at $1,000 annually, was established by the family of Jordan Naterer. On October 11, 2020, Jordan was called upon by Mother Earth. Jordan was a graduate of Memorial University’s engineering program in 2018. He was an NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship holder and finished his Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia in 2020. In Jordan's time at Memorial University, he evidently excelled academically. One of the pieces of advice he gave to siblings starting the program in 2020 was the importance of staying involved within the faculty however you can, something Jordan wished he did more. Jordan was exceptionally warm-hearted and wrote “all I do is try to be kind” in his personal song-writing diary. This scholarship embodies everything that is Jordan’s legacy, a Memorial University Electrical Engineering student who is academically strong while staying actively involved in the community and the faculty. It will be awarded to any undergraduate student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering program at Memorial University who has shown a commitment to community service and leadership throughout their studies. The recipient must meet the minimum academic requirements for scholarship standing as defined by the University. An application will be required to apply for this scholarship and is available through the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. The scholarship will be awarded by the Senate Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Bursaries, and Awards on the recommendation of the Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science.
