The Jordan Howell Project aims to raise awareness of Friedreich’s ataxia and help to improve the quality of life for those living with the disease.
This appeal was originally geared to providing fun activities for Jordan to experience, and to provide variety to his horizons by attending outdoor recreation programs such as SPLORE.
The change in his circumstances is now driving the urgency of him securing funds for his independence and to return to his apartment with dedicated health care providers.
Jordan has been through some dire experiences; a number of forced moves which have both physical and emotional side effects. He’s been placed in nursing facilities with elderly patients, as well as poorly staffed facilities that have seen his condition worsen due to negligent care.
Jordan has a lively mind and a great sense of humor, but his physical condition is worsening under current situations of negligent nursing home care.
