Thank you so much for supporting John Stubbs. John has been recently diagnosed with a growing brain tumor in his pituitary gland. It is unknown if it is malignant or benign. John will be having neurosurgery on Friday August 9th to remove the tumor. Depending on the biopsy results he may also need additional radiation treatment. The surgery will be at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida. He and his wife Christine will drive to Jacksonville on August 8th and prepare for the days ahead.
Things all started when John developed several migraine headaches that would not go away with traditional medical treatments. John also developed a tremor in both of his hands and other symptoms so he sought out medical treatment. He eventually had an MRI of the brain, which showed the tumor. Needless to say, John was immediately concerned about the diagnosis.
Anyone who knows John agrees that he is an amazing human being. He is committed to his family, his church and his community. John and his wife Christine have seven children and twelve beautiful grandchildren.
John loves his church. On Sundays he can be found in one of the pews of Lighthouse Christian Church in Merritt Island engaging in worship, fellowship and the teachings of the word of God. Isaiah 41:10 ”So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” As a man of great faith, John puts his trust in God to see him safely through this medical crisis.
John is an integral part of his community. His job as the maintenance supervisor of Crossway Condominium in Cocoa Beach has brought him extreme joy over these past few years. The residents of Crossway see John not only as a hard worker but also as a part of the Crossway family.
Please keep John and his family in your prayers. Please pray for the doctors, nurses and all members of the health care team who will be involved with John’s care. His recovery will take at least six weeks. John’s wife Christine will be pulling double duty during his recovery, taking care of him, the kids and even doing some of his maintenance work at Crossway while John is recovering.
As a result of this illness, there will be enormous medical costs for John and his family. If you were able to help financially in any way, it would be a huge blessing in their lives. 100 percent of the proceeds will be directed toward John’s medical expenses and helping his family recover. All donations given beyond the goal will still go to support him and his family. Since this family has been a blessing to many, what a privilege it would be to return a blessing to them. Thank you so much for your financial help and your prayers on their behalf.
