As a long time pilot and swimmer of the South End Rowing Club, I've put my life in Jim Bock's hands innumerable times. Jim was recently expelled from the South End Rowing Club without due process - the fundamental right to respond and defend himself before disciplinary action. These events have forced Jim to seek legal representation in order to clear his name and to pursue the fairness he was denied. Legal fees are significant, and this fundraiser is intended to help him cover the costs associated with defending his reputation and seeking reinstatement at the club he has devoted nearly two decades to serving. He needs a bit more financial help in covering legal representation fees necessary for him obtain due process. I'm reaching out to ask for your help.
Jim’s warmth, humor, and generosity have shaped the spirit of the South End. If you’ve ever benefited from his piloting, had a rip roaring time at Flote-A-Palooza, or enjoyed South End during Jim's 18 years of volunteer service (Building Commissioner, Board Member, Assessing Pilot, creator of the ongoing monthly Day of Service etc.) — please consider contributing or contributing again if you donated in the initial fundraiser.
All funds will be used towards Jim's legal fees. Please feel free to make donations anonymously. Thank you!
