The Jacobs & Baby Flynn

Hello all,
for those of you who don’t know me - my name is Shelby, one of Morgan and Josh’s best friends. It is with extreme heavy heart that I am having to write this, and to create this gofund me. On 12/17/2022, heaven gained the best angel - Baby Flynn Oliver Jacobs.
for those of you who don’t know, Morgan was 35 (almost 36) weeks pregnant when she went into the hospital Friday night with some slight cramping. At that time it was determined that Morgan was dehydrated and started to receive the proper care. Around 2100, her OB made the decision to keep her overnight due to Flynn having some frequent episodes of heart rate decelerations.
Over the course of the night, Morgan and Josh tried to rest expecting to be discharged in the morning. However, around 0300am Morgan went into active labor while having consistent contractions and cervical dilation. Around 0800am, it was decided that Morgan be rushed into the OR for an emergency C-section due to Flynn’s heart rate continuing to decelerate.
Due to Morgan not having an epidural, she required general anesthesia and was put fully to sleep. While we don’t know much, this is what we do know - when Flynn was born, he was very engaged in the pelvic area and needed to be pushed back in in order to be taken via cesarean. When he arrived into this world, unfortunately he was not breathing. After coding Flynn for about 15 mins, he came too and was immediately administered life saving interventions. What happened next, is in gods hands.
Once Flynn was “stabilized” it was decided to transport him to a better NICU in order to receive the best care he could get. During this time, it is presumed that Flynn may have suffered a hemorrhagic brain bleed and was noted to have continuous seizures. At this point, Morgan had no idea what was happening and just wanted to be with her baby and husband.
Fortunately, Morgan was able to also be transported to the same hospital that Flynn was receiving care. Once Morgan arrived, she was fronted with the news by the NICU team and Josh.
Over the course of the next couple of hours, Morgan and Josh got to spend time holding baby Flynn and loving him in every capacity they could. They were surrounded by friends and family members to ensure that they knew that they were never alone, and will never be alone.
Baby Flynn tragically left this earth and went to heaven on Friday 12/17/2022 at around 1655, being held and loved by his mom and dad. There are no words to describe the hurt, trauma, and grief that they are both feeling.
I decided to create this gofundme for numerous reasons. While no amount of money will bring their baby back or take away their pain, it will allow them to not have to worry about the small things - like funeral costs, bills, being out of work, therapy, etc. I pray that this provides them with some sort of freedom to take however long they need in order to cope with their loss. I know funds can be tight right now, so if you are unable to donate - a prayer and a share would mean just as much. The Jacobs and their family appreciate all the prayers and thoughts that they have received thus far.
Thank you & God bless.
