The Isle of Wight Bird Rescue needs your help

2024 has been the busiest year yet and we haven’t got through the year yet, a huge thanks to Apex Competitions for their massive donation as it’s made us hit our target, where this fundraiser has been going for a few years now we have decided to just edit the target, we are going to need to build special aviaries for the corvids that aren’t able to be released, all the birds need a different variety of food which always takes a huge chunk of our funds along with still having resident domestic birds which still cost a huge amount of money, we spend approximately 100 a week on fruit and veg along with other amounts for the different foods,any money donated always helps the rescues.

The Isle of Wight Bird Rescue is taking in a huge variety of fledglings all the time and these cost a lot of money whether it's the fish for gulls,the mealworms or paté cat food,these are eating into our resources along with sorting out soft release aviaries to help accommodate birds into being wild until they are ready to be released,while all this is going on we are still taking in domestic birds of all kinds,we've also taken in little wild furries too,while we aren't that sort of rescue we feel that sometimes we can't turn them down to be left to die

We understand that times are extremely hard for everyone and hate asking for help so any help would be appreciated and thank you for everyones help in the past

Wow thank you so much everyone for the donations,we can’t believe how busy we’ve been since we said we would take on the wild birds,from driving everywhere on the island to pick up birds and deliver them to the vets to picking them up from the vets and taking them to be raised safely there’s not been a moments peace.
