Let me begin by saying Dave is one of those people that have an outstanding impact on one’s life, especially my own. My name is Kyle and if you know me personally then you know how much my brother means to me and the people lucky enough to be around him. He has an impact everywhere he goes and on everyone he meets. If you know Dave, you know he lives to ride his Harley. Mid afternoon on February 28th, Dave was on his way to a friend’s house when we he was struck by a car on Castor and Tyson. As a result of this tragic accident my brother Dave lost his left leg from the knee down. He was airlifted to Jefferson Hospital where he was operated on in an attempt to save his foot. Unfortunately, the operation was not successful and the leg needed to be amputated. The nurses and doctors at the hospital were shocked to see the smile on Dave’s face despite being in the worst pain he has experienced in his life. He was able to find the light in this dark situation leaving a lasting impression on everyone he has encountered since the beginning of all of this. Dave has been nothing but positive about his future and this new path he is venturing down (if you couldn’t tell by now from his humorous social media posts). Little does he know his outlook on all of this is incredibly inspiring to everyone who have heard his story. He is truly showing people how to live in the NOW and to be proud of who you are. I myself am truly amazed and inspired by him. On another note, Dave’s medical bills are going to be astronomical. I am going to do everything I can along the way to help and I am asking anyone reading this to do the same if possible to help makes Dave’s journey forward as smooth as possible. It is not fair that he has to suffer from another’s mistake or deal with the bills that will come from this. Please help Dave by donating anything you can or by sharing this page. Big Dave I personally thank you for being you and never changing that about yourself. I love you brother, keep on inspiring the world.
