Synopsis
It’s 2014 in a suburban California town. Timid fifth grader, BETH (10), believes it’s her and her best friend against the world until she hears that periods are contagious and her best friend has suddenly been infected. Left in the dark about the female body, Beth grapples with letting her friend get bullied or protecting her with the risk of catching the Period Disease.
Hi everyone, we are a small team of Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film & Media students. Wanting to go out with a bang, we are hoping to raise a few more dollars for our thesis film. The money will be split between contract applications, locations, actor and teacher salaries, with possibly other VFX expenses.
We cannot wait to bring this story to life alongside our extremely talented group of peers. But therein lies our problem, to make this film the best it can be we need the support of our fellow short film enjoyers and the film community online. So, please! If you love watching school drama, care about reviving old cinematic ways and most importantly, want to support a bunch of kids and their dreams, out of the goodness of your heart give us a little donation - we’ll love you forever for it!
