Eighteen years after a series of shocking and unexplained events shattered the lives of a family living alone on the marshes of East Sussex, two women arrange to meet. One is the daughter of the family and the other, a scientist who seeks to uncover the truth about Marshfell Cottage and the disturbing events that have defined their lives ever since.
But as the evening progresses, an uncanny energy fizzes in the room, interfering with sound and light, memory and reality. Is it the cottage that is haunted? Or is there something much more unknowable that needs their help?
This taut new play from Michael Punter will have you gripped until the very end.
And remember – never assume to know……
The play is directed by Dominique Gerrard, starring Joanna Flay and Zo Morgan.
We are seeking funds to cover production costs, without which we cannot stage this play. These include: set, props, costume, lighting, sound and rehearsal space. This then enables us to reimburse the creative team and cast for their time from ticket sales.
Theatre is at a critical point right now and we are dependent on those passionate about it to support it in the best way they can. Playing to reduced audiences means significantly less income for productions so your support is very much needed. We will be hugely grateful for any and all contributions which will enable us to mount this thrilling play and bring it to communities around the South East.
