THE ILLADELPHIA GLOW

Donation protected
"The ILLadelphia Glow" is the story of a 32-year-old African American school teacher who carries a super-powered burden. His secret gift, causes great conflict between he and his social worker cousin, who is concerned about his well being. His students and those he encounters daily are also impacted by the turmoil in his life.

The film, lead by Aundre Dean (Carter High) and Crystal Lee Brown (Hidden Figures/Black Lightning) was recently shot in Philadelphia in its entirety. Jacinth Headlam, Tiffany Bacon, and acclaimed soul singer Lady Alma, who delivers a poignant performance, are among a dozen other talented actors who appear in the film.

We are currently raising funds to cover the remaining production/post-production costs.  The 17 minute short sci-fi film has a budget of $20,000 of which $13,000 has been raised.

The film was written and directed by best selling author Mister Mann Frisby, a Philadelphia native. The former Philadelphia Daily News entertainment reporter has worked for nearly a decade as a consultant in the film industry, but this is his first time directing and producing his own work. Veteran filmmaker Lionel Cook serves as Director of Photography.

All donations to this film project are greatly appreciated.
