The Hurlburt Music and Mischief Scholarship
Donation protected
It's that time of year again where we are raising money for the Hurlburt Music and Mischief scholarship. This scholarship will be paid to a graduating senior in the Class of 2025.
This scholarship is given in memory of brothers: Josh and Jason Hurlburt. Both of whom spent their school career at Perry Elementary School and Perry High School.
Josh was a member of the Class of 2000. He was a member of the high school soccer team, wrestling team (where he always asked for baked beans the night before a match), baseball team and the concert band where he played the alto sax. While Josh was involved in school extra curriculars, his favorite thing to do (and likely how he is remembered best) was causing a bit of fun loving mischief. He loved to play a good practical joke in the halls and classrooms of Perry Central School. Josh always kept everyone laughing.
Jason was a member of the class of 2002. The kindest soul, he led the Peer Mediation program. His passion during school was music where he played the alto sax and piano and sang as a tenor in several groups. He was a member of the concert band, chorus, jazz band, select chorus, high school musicals, (where he played Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)NYSSMA solo festivals and many other small ensembles.
If you can, please donate so we can present one of the seniors (and classmates of Josh's son) with a scholarship in their memory.
