The Hunt for Alligator Junior

Tax deductible
The Navy and Marine Living History Association is raising funds to pay for aerial magnetometer scans of the suspected resting place of the first submarine examined by the U.S. Navy in 1861. This prototype represents the true first step toward the creation of the modern submarine fleet, and its recovery would answer many questions about the technology her designer included in the boat. Additionally, there are indications that an even older submarine may rest nearby. Interested in recovering an unknown history? Join the hunt!
