The Hunt Children Fund: In Memory of Jim Hunt

Hello Friends and Family, it is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our very own Jim Hunt. James “Jim” Arnold Hunt, age 56, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022. Jim was born in Ohio on June 29, 1966. He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Hunt.

A man of great faith, Jim was a member of Fellowship Bible Church and loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He owned and operated Jim Hunt Construction, LLC. Prior to going into business for himself, Jim worked as an IT professional operating his own computer business in addition to managing rental properties. He cherished spending time with his wife and children. A loving son, devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, Jim will be missed by all who knew him.

Those that had the pleasure of knowing Jim, knew above all how much he cared about his family. Jim was never too tired to sit down and watch Shrek with the kids. He was never too “stuffed” to slurp on a Webby’s slushee on a hot day. He was never too busy to miss fun family outings. Jim desired for his family to be cared for each and every day. Jim desired for his children to be able to continue shooting for the stars and achieving their dreams!

A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 301 S. Circle Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Father George Greer officiating. A visitation with the family will be on Friday, August 12, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
