On September 28th 2020 our dear friends Todd and Angela lost their dream home at Ruth Lake due to the August Complex Fire.

               Todd and Angela Purchased the bare land in 2003 after Todd was in an industrial accident which left him unemployable.  Todd moved to Ruth with his dog and had nothing but a small shed for shelter with no domestic amenities.  Angela would bring the kids (A total of 6 between the two of them.) and supplies on the weekends.  The Family came together and was able to survive, entertain and more than anything love one another. 

               In 2005 Angela was able to move out to Ruth Lake full time with a travel trailer, making the living conditions a little more tolerable.   Over the next 15 years Todd, Angela, the kids and a few friends were able to build their dream home.  The family finally had running water with heat, flushing toilets and electricity.  Doing it all with one nickel at a time.  The struggle was real!  Having the love of family and friends Todd and Angela were able to overcome many obstacles.  Their home was just completed this year and all was lost. 

               Todd and Angela struggled to find appropriate fire insurance.  As they do have insurance it is not sufficient to cover this horrific loss, we are reaching out to friends, family, anyone who is willing to donate to Todd and Angela to rebuild their dream home.  Thank you in advance for your time and generosity.
