On September 8th, the Houks (Vanessa, Jason, Madison and Grace) lost their family home and all of their belongings in the Almeda fire. They have a home they can purchase! Here is the update from Vanessa: "We are so close to having enough money to purchase a home back in the park. We heard from FEMA yesterday and we had been really hopeful that they would provide the last bit of money we need in order to get stable again. We applied for their "home replacement" program. We hear they're sending $13,109. Not quite enough to meet our goal. The house is $125,000. We're about $9,000 short. This is the final stretch. Please help or share if you can. Thank you!"
