The Hopi Museum Needs Tender Loving Care!!!
UPDATE!!!
Already your contributions have helped make preliminary repairs to the roof of The Hopi Museum.No more water leakage!!!!
We look forward to further repairs as we continue to raise funds.
1. Complete repair of the roof—we are waiting for water to be available for the pressure washing needed for completion.
2. Upgrading lighting.
3. Repair to display cases.
4. Repair interior water damage.
5. Cleaning of the museum and preserving the artifacts.
These repairs will ensure that the museum remains a safe environment for the artifacts and an optimal learning experience of Hopi’s rich cultural heritage and values.

WHY IS HOPI'S CULTURAL HERITAGE IMPORTANT TO US?
Hopi means, ‘People of Peace’ who hold the desire of all beings to be in peace with self and community. The Hopi are the oldest indigenous people of North America. The Hopi have passed through several evolutionary eras, all the while continuing to live by the sacred covenant they made to live a life of compassion, humility, cooperation, respect, and universal earth stewardship.
The wisdom of stewardship, the teachings and artifacts of Hopi are sacred tools. These are sacred seeds held to help the world continue to evolve and thrive through our changing times. This indigenous memory of living in harmony with Earth’s cycles and processes is rare, and a vital key to our survival.
In the museum we learn about the creative ancient indigenous methods of desert agriculture, storytelling, art, song, and dance. These forms of personal creative expression are tools shared as gifts that rekindle the primary human senses in the center of each individual human being. During these times of intense universal transition and transformation, these tools of Unity are being brought back to aid us in our remembering of our common journey and life purpose as Being InLove. The Hopi people trace their history back for thousands of years, and their culture is rich in traditions, celebrations, and skilled craftsmanship. Located in northern Arizona, Hopi Land encompasses 1.6 million acres of high plateau and three spectacular mesas.
The Hopi Cultural Center of Second Mesa, Arizona, including the Hopi Cultural Center Museum, was designated an Arizona Treasure by Governor Janet Napolitano in 2005.”
