The Hope-Gordon Foundation Stroke Walk

Donation protected

Hi, My name is Bianca and I am the founder of the Hope-Gordon Foundation.
We initially created the foundation in 2022 to support the development of social and cultural capital in early years, through community events.
Our lives took a turn when my mum had a stroke in 2023, ultimately changing the trajectory of our foundation.
Having spent 3 months in the hospital, we saw first hand the struggles that the staff faced and just how difficult it was for the patients to be away from their homes and loved ones.
That lead to us thinking about all of the children that suffer with strokes every year and how scary it must be for the little people that don't know what's going on with their bodies or are unable to articulate how they are feeling.
We have also been shocked by the aftercare (or lack thereof) and how much is expected to be supplied by the family after this unexpected, life changing occurrence.
With that being said, we have decided to raise money for the stroke wards at Kings College and St Thomas Hospital and 50% all of all proceeds will be donated for vital rehabilitation supplies such as walking aids and arm supports.
On Saturday 19th April 2025, we will be hosting a stroke walk from Kings College Hospital to St Thomas' Hospital.
Please help us by donating anything you can to this wonderful cause and making a difference in a little ones life.
