If you knew, Betty, you know her to be the mommom of all. She has impacted everyone on multiple degrees from taking in children and raising them as her own, feeding everyone on the block -- trays of food filled her kitchen, to the one woman who kept it real with you and made you laugh. She never failed to make you feel like you are someone or somebody, she said hi to all and claimed everyone as her cousin.

On Friday, February 17th at 11:25 pm, she was called home to her Lord surrounded by her family after her decade's worth of fighting of multiple myeloma. She was a resilient warrior, God's warrior is what she called herself and we are looking to celebrate her strength, her wit, her humor, and the empathetic heart she exuded in all encounters.
