Hello, we are Cameron Johanning and Evelyn Giovine. We're so excited to share with you the culmination of years of creative collaboration, dating all the way back to our freshman year at Princeton University. It's our most ambitious project yet: "The Hoffman House"

This short film is a proof of concept for a limited series that we are developing with fellow Princeton Alum Amanda Devine. To pitch this series, we need the short. To make the short, we need the funding—which is where you come in. Your contribution will go directly to hiring our talented crew, securing our location, renting specialized camera equipment, and feeding/housing/transporting our cast as well as post-production and festival submission fees. On Easter Sunday, a devastating accident unravels the Hoffman family’s fragile peace—until the truth they’ve spent years avoiding slips in through the back door. With themes of familial duty, estrangement, religion, and community, "The Hoffman House" gives voice to things we all experience but rarely share.

Shooting style: one continuous handheld take. Yes, really! Taking inspiration from shows like Adolescence, The Studio, and Children of Men, we've spent the last year meticulously crafting a script that intensifies to a boil under this creative limitation. We're humbled to be partnering with INGOMA Films and the incredibly talented cinematographer Sebastian Nieves to bring this thrilling, heart-wrenching vision to reality.

We, Evelyn Giovine and Cameron Johanning, are raising money for our short film THE HOFFMAN HOUSE.

The money will be spent on paying for rental equipment, insuring that equipment, renting our location, buying props and set dressing, paying a crew, traveling/feeding/housing our cast, post-production costs, festival applications, etc.

We plan on using all money received from the GoFundMe to pay for the above mentioned costs through direct payment.
