The HNRNP Family Foundation
Donation protected
Last year I ran 50k for the National Organization of Rare Diseases, as our son, Gus, has a rare genetic condition called HNRNPU-related disorder.
Since then, we've connected with other families affected, and a new charity has been formed. The HNRNP Family Foundation will help fund research into this specific genetic sequence, and the money I raise will go directly to the doctors at Columbia University and the University of Sheffield in the UK.
Last October, after running 46k and hallucinating through a waking dream state for the last 4k, I was able to raise more than $15,000, for which I'm still incredibly grateful.
This October, I'm running 50 miles in the Midstate Massive Ultra Trail, and I'm hoping to reach $20,000.
Every dollar counts, is much appreciated, and will go directly to buying bunsen burners, oddly shaped beakers, and other crucial items that exceed my cartoonishly low understanding of medical science.
I hope to have updates coming, and please reach out with any questions.
