On Sunday, 9/4/22, my boss Jennifer Hinch took her husband Mark to the ER; he was admitted that night for low sodium levels and, soon after that, was transferred to the ICU. He was in the ICU for a few days and then transferred to the main floor. While in the ICU, he received a PICC line. Mark was supposed to be discharged on 9/8/22 until medical staff found a mass on his left side. After evaluation, they learned the mass was possibly cancerous. They also learned he has complications with his kidneys, heart, and lungs. So sadly, instead of being discharged, he is being transferred to a different hospital to be seen by a specialist. Mark's options for treatment are either removal of the mass and some of his lung or removal and treatment. While they are unsure which route they will see best for them, the road of recovery isn't going to be easy. Jennifer and I work at an assisted living, and she's the most loving, hardworking, appreciative, caring person I have ever met. Mark and her have three kids together, along with 2 step kids. With Mark being out of work, the hospital bills, household bills, etc., will begin to build up. Right now, the chances of her husband working again is slim. I want to be able to relieve some of the stress off of her and her family, as finances should be the least of their worries. All money donated will go directly to the Hinch Family.
Update: Jennifer’s husband had surgery on 9/12/22 & they learned that he does have cancer. The mass consumed his left lung & it is unfortunately spreading quickly. He has a port in his chest, and will start chemotherapy today 9/13/22. Marks insurance through his work does not cover the cost of the treatments he is going to endure. Any help is greatly appreciated as Jennifer has the financial weight on her shoulders as well as her husband going through a medical tragedy.
Again, all money goes directly to the Hinch family.
