The Hietpas' HLHS fight

Hi, my name is Randy Vanderlinden. Soon enough, at the end of March, my granddaughter, emilynn, will be born with a congenital heart defect known as HLHS. HLHS is short for hypoplastic left heart syndrome. What that means is essentially she will have half a heart. Although it is manageable, she can not be cured. Treatment for her conditions will include 3 surgeries, the first of which takes place shortly after she is born. My daughter, Elizabeth, and her husband , Greg, work very hard to provide for their family. However, with Emi's condition, they will need to briefly relocate to Milwaukee for what could be a few months. Neither of them can perform their job remotely as Elizabeth is a cosmetologist, and Greg works with me as a mason. I've created this page to try and help them pay their bills while they care for Emilynn as that should be their main focus. Elizabeth, Greg, and myself thank you for any and all donations.
