Thank you for taking the time to read and share this story! My name is Carly Buswell and I am a close friend to the Helms Family. January 2022 Kevin was diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma of the throat. He is now starting his 7 weeks of radiation. Kevin is a hardworking and outgoing man who has been a supervisor at the St. Albans Creamery & Supply/DFA for seven years. He works from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m., and when he's not there, he's still working -- sometimes getting out of bed to go lend a hand. Kevin faces workplace challenges head-on while treating his coworkers with dignity and respect. He treats them all as individuals and values their contributions to the team. Often, he brings desserts for everyone to share, and he rarely takes time off. The past year has been tough for Kevin as his mother recently passed away, as well as some close friends, yet he has remained dedicated and loyal to his family and his job. Kevin Helms is extremely selfless and generous to everyone.
Kevin enjoys fishing, spending time outside and spending time with his friends and his family.
Kevin will be out of work during his time of treatment … we all know the personal effects of cancer and struggles during treatment time and the financial and emotion strain that come along with it. Let’s help the Helms family and give back to some of the selfless and giving family in our community that need support and love more than ever during this time.
I will also be creating a Meal Train
Thank you all for your time, consideration and support <3
