The Hero Teacher Project- WebSite

We believe that teachers are the backbone of education. To elevate their love and labor through the magic of art, the Hero Teacher Project celebrates public school teachers by painting life-sized portraits of one inspiring teacher from each of the 50 states, plus DC. The paintings not only recognize the contributions of our nation’s leading educators, but also highlight those from historically underrepresented and unsung backgrounds, such as teachers of color and those who pioneer in the arts. Upon completion of this project, we will invite all 51 teachers and members of the public to Washington DC for an unveiling and celebration of their teaching excellence and of public education.

What your Go Fund Me donation will go towards is the following for 10 months while on the Road:

Living expenses for my family of 3 kids and 2 adults for at least 10 months.

Gas for about 14,000 miles

Campsite expenses

A National Health care plan for my family for 10 months

RV Maintenance

Filming and communication technology

and Painting and art Supplies

We have created a budget of $100,000 for the trip.

All of the details of the phases of the project are on my website at .

HTP Phase 1: The Hero Teacher Project Journey to meet all 51+ teachers across the US in an RV with my family of 5.

HTP Phase 2: The painting the portraits and editing and posting the interviews on my website

HTP Phase 3: The Hero Teacher Project Art Event/ Show.  The  HTP Art Event on the Washington DC Mall!

This is where we gather all 51+ teachers together in Washington DC during the summer of 2024 right before the next Presidential

Election. Washington needs to hear from these Hero Teachers in a BOLD fashion.

Who knows? Maybe HTP can be a spark for a national Teacher March on Washington!

You can help make all of this a reality .

You can help keep teachers in the place they were born to be, in the classroom helping our students.

Join the Hero Teacher Project today by making a donation to our Go Fund ME project.

Thank you and I look forward to taking you on this artistic and educational journey across this great nation.
