Some of you may be aware that Mrs. Hermann, our children's First Grade Teacher's Aide, has a son facing the challenge of a brain tumor. They are preparing to travel to Philadelphia for his surgery on April 9th, and the associated expenses for travel and medical care are significant.
During this trying time for the Hermann Family, we are reaching out to request your prayers and any possible donations. Mrs. Hermann holds a special place in the hearts of our children, and her dedication to supporting our First Grade teachers and students is truly commendable.
If you are in a position to contribute any amount, no matter how small, it would be deeply appreciated by the family. Thank you for your kindness and support.
Please find a personal message from Mrs. Hullinger, Mrs. DeHaan, and Mrs. Strite below:
Marcie Hermann is invaluable to us. She is a constant, cheerful face and one of the most hard-working people on our campus. She works one-on-one with every first grader for sight words, completes make-up work/tests, helps at recess, offers social-emotional support, and attends to our basic day-to-day needs. She works two jobs here at our school: one as a first-grade aide and the other as maintenance staff. She is a dear friend to all of us. We couldn’t do all that we do without her; she is a beloved member of our team and the BCS community. Her son, Weston, attended school at BCS and has been fighting brain cancer for over a decade. Most recently, he was diagnosed with another tumor that needs to be surgically removed. Any funds that we raise will go directly to Marcie and Weston to support her as they travel to Philadelphia and stay for a week or more for the surgery.
Blessings!
