Hi. I'm Pastor Diana Verhulst of Prophetstown. I'm helping raise money for my friend and Prophetstown resident and businesswoman, Alizabeth (Liz) Martin, following the accidental death of her husband, Damien in September 2022. Now a widow, Liz, a beautician for seven years in PTown, has four school-age children to support and as she puts it, "I don't know what I'm going to do." There are mounting debts from the burial. Their car was brand new, and was totaled in the crash. Insurance covered the existing car loan, but there is no money for her to buy a replacement vehicle. Now that there is only one household income, Liz needs our help. A community helps itself and heals itself.
