My mom Nadine Willis Patton worked with Birmingham City Schools System for 22 years. During those years she worked at G.W. Carver High School as a project director. While working there she worked closely with teachers and students for class scheduling and grades. She genuinely loved and cared for every child she came in contact with and strived extra hard for every child to graduate. On Nov 22, 2020 my mom health took a turn for the worst and went in the hospital for COVID-19 and double pneumonia. My mom fought hard and even during her time in the hospital she was still trying to make sure the kids educational needs were meet. On Dec 10 my mom passed due to COVID-19. My mom always wanted the best for her students (her kids is what she called them) and wanted to see them succeed in life pass high school. So in order to keep her legacy going we are starting a scholarship fund in honoring of her for that a child that wants to attend college but doesn’t have all the resources. This will be an annual event and it would make her and us nothing but happy for ANY DONATION that can help a child in need of going to college.
