As some of you may know, I have been in and out of the hospital since October dealing with many health complications. Since October I have faced a mini stroke, a brain aneurysm which lead to a craniotomy but the biggest fight now is heart failure. My ICD has fired around 30 times and my heart is getting weaker.
After being diagnosed with advanced heart failure, doctors have determined that a heart transplant is my only long-term chance for survival.
While I have insurance coverage in New York, the transplant team has recommended receiving care in Massachusetts so I can be closer to immediate family during this critical time. Being near loved ones during a transplant isn’t just about comfort — it directly impacts my emotional strength, recovery, and long-term outcomes.
However, transferring care out of state comes with significant financial challenges. In addition to standard medical expenses, I will need to cover extra insurance costs, including higher out-of-network premiums, additional policy coverage, deductibles, and other gaps not covered under the current plan.
Funds raised will help cover:
• Extra insurance premiums and out-of-pocket insurance costs
• Transplant evaluation and required testing
• Deductibles and coverage gaps
• Travel between New York and Massachusetts
• Temporary housing during the waiting period
• Post-surgery medications and follow-up care
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page. Every share, prayer, and message of encouragement means the world to my family.
Thank you for helping me by giving me the greatest gift of all — a second chance at life. ❤️
