"The Heart has narrow Banks"

We three friends, Burleigh Mutén, Judith Hudson, and Victoria Dickson, met Lois Kackley when she moved to Amherst to live near the homestead of her favorite poet, Emily Dickinson, whose words title this fundraiser.

 

Lois sustained a heart event several years ago that required emergency surgery to repair her aorta. This year in April, Lois had surgery for a carotid bypass, and now she needs another aorta surgery on September 8. Because Lois will require home care (Visiting Angels) for several weeks, assistance with transportation to medical appointments and medications not covered by insurance, we've set up this GoFundMe account for Lois.
